Fall Service Weekend 2025 Recap

This past weekend at Quail Hill Scout Reservation, from September 5 to 7, our Fall Service and Ordeal Weekend took place. Our lodge welcomed 63 new Ordeal members and 8 new Brotherhood members, while a total of 150 people attended the event. We extend our firmest congratulations to you all, and are looking forward to seeing you serve our brotherhood in the future!

Into Saturday afternoon, we completed plenty of cheerful service projects. Elangomat crews worked on trail maintenance, campsite repairs, and improvements to program areas across Quail Hill. We also split and stacked a large supply of firewood for Ranger Adam, which was enough to keep Quail Hill running well past the winter season for its many events! Beyond that, our crews cleared trails across the reservation and even accomplished more than the ranger had expected, leaving him very impressed with the effort and spirit of our members.

New candidates were then led by Elangomats to our Aim High Orientation. Here, officers, chairs, and adult leadership spoke about the purpose of our Order, the opportunities available within Na Tsi Hi, and the meaning of cheerful service.

That evening, candidates took part in two unprecedented Ordeal ceremonies held under Bishop Pavilion due to the rain, while several members sealed their bonds in Brotherhood. Afterward, our commissary team served a hearty Thanksgiving-style dinner that was enjoyed by all. The night concluded with fellowship, where members took part in fun activities including inflatable ax throwing, beanbag toss, and giant Connect Four. The weekend wrapped up with plenty of camaraderie, as we celebrated the growth of our lodge and looked ahead to the exciting year of service and fellowship to come.

Yours in Brotherhood,

Ed S.
