Summary of the Annual Na Tsi Hi Lodge Activities

Frozen Fellowship

Frozen Fellowship is a winter fellowship weekend at Forestburg, near the end of January. Its typically filled with events such as shooting, hiking, and of course board game playing!

Spring Fellowship

Spring Fellowship is held at the beginning of April at Quail Hill. Activities include volleyball, Ultimate frisbee, and other outdoor games. All Ordeal members are welcome to convert to Brotherhood Honor, and a Brotherhood ceremony is held on Saturday evening, followed by a campfire and videos for everyone.

Spring Powwow

The Spring Powwow is our Ordeal induction weekend at Forestburg, typically on the first weekend of June. A lot of great service gets accomplished preparing camp for the summer season, including cutting trees, setting up campsites, doing building maintenance, repairing trails, cleaning campfire areas, and moving camp equipment out of winter storage. Ceremonies performed include the Pre-Ordeal, Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil Callout. We also hold our annual elections for Chief, Vice-Chiefs, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Fall Powwow

The Fall Powwow is our Ordeal induction weekend at Quail Hill in mid-September. Like the Spring Pow Wow, the main goal is to provide service to the camp as well as to hold our Pre-Ordeal, Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil Callout ceremonies. We also hold a special ceremony called the Gam’wing, which is named after a Lenape ritual, to install the new Chief.

Section Conclave

The Section Conclave is a fun weekend where members of all the lodges in our Section get together for fellowship, training, competitions, and networking. The Conclave is held at the camp of a lodge in the section on a rotating basis. Na Tsi Hi most recently hosted the conclave at Forestburg in June 2005. The Conclave is usually scheduled for the second weekend in June.

Additional details about the Conclave are available at the Section NE-5A website.

Lodge Leadership Development Weekend

This weekend provides an opportunity for teambuilding, planning, training, and fellowship for the newly-appointed Lodge Executive Committee (LEC), or “eboard”, members and their advisers. Each chairman learns about his responsibilities and the LEC’s role in the lodge. Plans are made to implement the year’s Strategic Plan as well as any new National policies, programs, or procedures.

Winter Banquet

During the week after Christmas, we hold a recognition dinner at a local banquet hall. All family members and friends are welcome to attend. We recognize all of our member’s accomplishments in the past year, including new Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil members. The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the Founder’s Award recipients.
