About Us

Scoutreach units are those units in urban and rural areas whose camping or advancement programs are below standard. This committee provides Arrowmen (youth and adult) as mentors in Scoutreach units.

The OA Scoutreach mentors provide positive role models in the unit, and access to additional resources (both physical and informational) for the unit. This program enriches both the Scouting program and the community.

Recognitions are offered by the National OA Committee to OA Scoutreach Mentors, with patches and certificates available at “bronze,” “silver,” and “gold” levels. The OA Scoutreach Mentor section of the National OA web site has all the details on this exciting program.
